A crank is fitted to the outer part, and the side cover fixed with screws, so that is presses againts the great ring. The crank moves easily, as the friction between the plastic and cover is minimal (and the calculator rotates easily). You see the gap between cover and main case, due to the incorrect placing of the outer ring.
