Gilles Massen proposed to heat the gearbox, and push the 3D fitting firmly on the wheel: this would push the tiny indents into the plastic, so that the torque on the 3D plastic piece will be transmitted to the dented wheel. Here one sees one of the small cavings made by the stubs.
