| At the receiving side was a "Branly coherer" (here at the left), essentially a glass tube with iron filings which become temporarly conductive when hit by a ELM wave. The little vibrating ball touched the glass to disturb the reorganisation caused by the wave and bring back the original high resistance state. | |
